Newb Question (Advise for a Build)
I am using a Necro (curses)/Mes (Domination) PVE character, what is a good build involving curses and interrupts?

Look around for various Spiteful Spirit builds. They are mostly to punish and work against physical attackers.
If you want something to counter casters, consider Pain Inverter (Asura), Backfire (Dom). Bring whatever interrupt to your taste.

Depending on what campaign(s) you own.
When only Prophecies was out:
[skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]parasitic bond[/skill][skill]empathy[/skill][skill]power spike[/skill][skill]shame[/skill][skill]desecrate enchantments[/skill][skill]insidious parasite[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
I sometimes swap shame for guilt or backfire or power leak. Back then Soul reaping gave you enough energy all the time.

The mesmer skills you should be considering for a general SS build are either:
1) Unlinked
2) Requiring zero investment in the attribute to be effective
Speccing hard into a third attribute will weaken your build considerably.

Now adays, yes. Since with the changes to Soul Reaping and the availability of other spells. Since the OP didn't specify what campaign(s) he/she has access to I gave an example of a build I used to run back when Prophecies was the only thing available.
signet of disruption is a good skill to use. I still don't like using arcane echo as it is too energy consuming for my tastes. Of course getting skills like Cry of Frustration and Signet of Lost Souls are good too.
Interupts are just that, you don't really need to invest heavily on domination magic just to interupt. Swap Empathy for Cry of Frustration (stopping those nasty troll ungents and healing sigs).

I disagree. It is perfectly feasible to run an SS build at curses 11+3+1, SR 10+1, Domination or Inspiration 10.

but would you do it, power return just is a cheap interupt wich has the fastest recharge of non-elite interupts
same reason why Power return is good in PvE, is that Power Leak is bad in PvE.
And with Soul Reaping you won't need inspiration interupts

Attribute-wise, of course, it won't make much of a difference, and 11 in SR is more than enough. What it will do is encourage you to bring unviable mesmer spells (such as Empathy and Backfire) at a poor attribute spec into PvE.

OMG you are really really bad. D-shot on a necro??? WOW! I think you are confusing the word "pro" for mentally retarded...

To "correctly" answer the OP, try this build:
Power spike is 5 energy now...
[skill]Power Spike[/skill][skill]Power Drain[/skill][skill]Arcane Echo[/skill][skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]barbs[/skill][skill]mark of pain[/skill][skill]enfeebling blood[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
You don't need a ton into domination to make this build work.
Curses --> 12+1+1
Soul Reaping --> 10+1
Inspiration --> 8 or 7
Domination --> whatever is left over

Thanks guys, I have access to all campaigns. This really helps, I didn't want to start buying skills before I got some advice.

Quick question guys, I'm wanting an interrupt that will interrupt a Norn "Bear Form" skill. I've Tried Power Lock, Power Strike and Signet of Distraction but so far no go...
(Looking for a good skill to interrupt with doing "Mano a Norno".)
Necrosis sounds fun! (I'll have to go to Istan and start getting it). Wastrel's looks great too. Thanks guys@!

Well since you have EotN, use "You move like a dwarf". It's such a versatile skill. I had it on my bar for a long time even with a very low norn rank. Since it's a shout that KD's, it can be used as an interrupt. Even if you arn't interrupting, it's a good way to defend yourself or other allied casters from melee (since it cripples). I use it often in HM.

D-shot is one of the best interrupts in the game. swapping to a shortbow and firing it off is a perfectly viable strategy, when you don't need your secondary for anything else.

DShot is one of the best skills in the game and works fine at 0 spec.
If you've an open secondary, it's a fine choice... if a little unorthodox.

.
Get over yourself. In the context mentioned above it's clever usage of D-shot and there's nothing retarded about it.
